The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Courts Bureau is responsible for maintaining safety, security, and order throughout the county’s court system. Deputies assigned to the Courts Bureau ensure the protection of judges, court staff, jurors, inmates, and members of the public while facilitating the safe and efficient operation of court proceedings.

Courts Bureau deputies perform a wide range of duties, including courtroom security, inmate transportation and custody, access control, and emergency response. Working in a dynamic and high-visibility environment, deputies must demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and constant vigilance.
